1. Swings

Buy a rope of the color that you like the most and paint the tires with a spray. Then hang them in the garden, on a thick log to make it sturdy and secure enough. As an additional measure, we recommend you upholster the interior with some fabric so that, when sitting, it does not touch the skin directly.

2. Sandpit

We have another idea for very young children who do not ride the swing. How about a play sandbox? It’s very easy to do: you just have to wash, let it dry and later paint the old tires as you like. Then fill them with sand and put an umbrella on it. This sandbox is sure to become your children’s favorite place.

3. Planter

Because of their shape and sizes, old tires are excellent pieces for exterior and garden decoration. Thanks to their resistance, they do not deteriorate due to the action of the elements and can be ideal for growing various species of plants. Spray paint your new planters in your favorite colors. If you prefer, you can also keep its original color. Sow within them!

4. Mirror frame

An old car tire is not the best choice for a nice mirror. However, thin wheels on bicycles can easily be used for this craft. Simply wash and let the tire dry. Later, you can apply a layer of transparent varnish, so that it is black and shiny.

Also, you can spray paint it with gold, bronze or any other color you like. Then, you must find a mirror that fits inside it, adjust it, and that’s it! To secure the mirror to the tire well, you can use industrial glue that you must apply at different points inside the tire.

5. Pet bed

It is not necessary to spend a lot of money on a bed for our pet. Old tires are the perfect shape for a nice cozy bed.  To do this, you just have to fill the inside of the tire with a foam cushion or pillow. Decorate it to your liking.

6. Trash tanks

By joining several old tires, a trash can can be made. Of course, its shape can vary depending on creativity. Basically, the idea is to join up to three tires, one on top of the other, so that there is a kind of deep container. Then, to facilitate the task of taking out the garbage, a bag is put inside.

7. Outdoor table

Decorating with items made from old tires is in fashion. Certainly, many people reuse this material to make furniture and tables for areas such as the garden or terrace. Put one tire on top of another and then paint them to your liking. Then, put a lid on top (made of plastic, wood or any other material you want) that will act as a surface.

8. Outdoor sofas

To enjoy your family gatherings in the garden or the outdoor spaces of the house, you can make comfortable sofas by recycling old tires. Gather several pieces, depending on the number of seats you want the furniture to have. (Usually, each square will carry two tires.) Paint them to your liking and fill them with cushions or foams.
